Isolation

Following a severe bout of Covid, recovering in isolation from Covid during 2020 Hugo turned to drawing. A challenging time both physically and mentally and it proved an unusual and powerful introduction to drawing. His drawings and paintings not only depict a dark expressive side to recovering from Covid but also cover political and social themes occuring throughout the Pandemic, attempting to reflect the severity and uniqueness of the situation the world was in at the time.
